10 Reasons I Keep Reaching for This Copper Bracelet for Arthritis Pain

Most people who have owned a copper bracelet have owned a bad one. It went green, the shine flaked off at the clasp, and it ended up in a drawer. Here is what is actually different about ours, including the one thing we will not tell you.

Helen — Copper Artisan, Helen's Jewelry
The forgotten mineral — copper worn daily
01

You have probably already owned a fake one One stroke of a file on a $15 bracelet. The yellow underneath is brass

Walk through any online marketplace and you will find copper bracelets at $12, $15, $20. Most of them are not copper. They are brass, zinc or steel with a microscopic copper-coloured coating sprayed over the top.

That coating wears through at the clasp within weeks. The wrist goes green, the band snaps, and the owner concludes that copper bracelets are nonsense.

They are not. The bracelet was.

We bought eleven competitor bracelets and cut into four of them. Every one had a different metal underneath. That is why this category has the reputation it has.

Copper worn on wrists and hands for generations
02

Ours is solid copper all the way through Cut through a link and the middle is the same metal as the surface.

99.9% copper, C11000 grade, through the entire link. No plating. No brass core. File the underside and you find the same metal you can see on top.

No nickel and no lead at any stage of manufacture, which matters more than people realise. Most metal jewellery reactions are nickel reactions, not copper ones.

Copper worn at the wrist — a daily ritual of warmth

The magnets are real, and they are set properly Seated into the link, not pressed into a shallow dimple and glued.

A copper bracelet with weak magnets is just a bracelet. Most cheap bands use ferrite discs, the same material as a fridge magnet, dropped into a shallow recess with a spot of adhesive. They rattle, and eventually one falls out in the shower.

Ours are N42 neodymium, the strongest permanent magnet grade you can put in a band this size without it becoming uncomfortable to wear all day. Three rows per link as standard, six per link if you want the heavier one.

Metal - 99.9% copper (C11000)

We will not tell you it treats anything No before and after photographs on this page. There is a reason for that.

We actually designed this with people dealing with stiff, uncomfortable hands in mind.

Here’s the irony most brands overlook: the people who may want a copper bracelet as part of their wellness routine can sometimes be the ones who struggle most to put one on.

Stiff fingers. Limited grip. Hands that don't always cooperate.

So why choose a bracelet that’s difficult to fasten without help?

That’s why House of Pure Wellness designed its copper bracelet with an easy-to-use locking mechanism that makes putting it on and taking it off simple.

No struggling with tiny clasps. No fumbling around. No having to ask someone else for help.

Because a wellness bracelet should be easy to wear—especially when ease and independence matter most.

Solid copper. Real magnets. Nothing invented.

Triple Row, 22mm, three rows of N42 neodymium.

Thousands of women wearing Helen's copper jewelry

It is a habit you can actually see On your wrist at 6am, at work, and at the dinner table.

Our bottle customers kept telling us the same thing, and it surprised us. The point was never the copper on its own. It was having something in front of them all day that reminded them to drink water and slow down.

A bottle sits on a desk. You leave the room and the reminder stays behind. A bracelet does not. It is on your wrist when you wake up, when you are driving, when you are working, and when you go to bed.

Most of what people buy for their wellbeing clocks out at some point in the day. This does not.

It will darken, and that is the proof New, six months, and several years. The same band.

Real copper reacts with air and skin. Within a few weeks the shine dulls and the recesses go darker. This is patina, and it is the clearest sign that what you bought is solid copper rather than a coated lookalike. A lacquered fake stays bright, and then it chips.

Some people leave it alone and let the band go deep and uneven until it looks like it has been somewhere. Others bring the shine back every few weeks. Cut a lemon, dip the flesh in table salt, rub it over the copper, rinse and dry. Sixty seconds, no polish, no chemicals.

Both are correct. Six months in, the band on your wrist will not look like anyone else's.

Real copper vs fake plated copper
07

It is sized to your wrist, not to a standard one The tool is in the box. Two minutes, no jeweller.

Here is the detail most brands miss. The band arrives at full length and you take links out to fit. Every bracelet ships with the tool, so you are not booking an appointment with a jeweller to wear something you have already paid for.

Measure your wrist, add half an inch, push the pins out from both sides so the clasp stays centred. Most men land between 7.5 and 8.5 inches.

Get it wrong and we fix it. Send it back and we resize it at no cost for as long as you own it. Wrists change. If yours is over 9 inches, email us before you order and we will add links free of charge.

A large share of these go to fathers, fathers in law and retirements. It is the sort of object men do not buy for themselves and are quietly pleased to be given.

Handmade copper jewelry in Helen's workshop

We made copper bottles before we made jewellery One metal, held to one standard, across the whole range.

We built this company on a single object. A solid copper bottle, made the way it has been made in India for a very long time, sold to people who wanted their water stored in something other than plastic.

That is why we were slow to make a bracelet, and why we rejected samples for most of a year. We are not a jewellery brand that discovered copper because it sells. We are a copper company that was asked for jewellery by its own customers.

The bottles, the glasses and the bracelet are all the same metal, held to the same standard. See the full range.

Wear it for 30 days before you decide Put it on. Get it wet by accident. Let it darken.

Nothing on this page asks you to take our word for it. Put the bracelet on, wear it every day for a month, let it start to darken, and see whether you want to keep it.

If at any point in the first 30 days you decide it is not for you, email us and we refund it. You do not need to have kept the box, and it does not need to be unworn. That is a real wear test, not a returns policy with conditions attached.

The only thing you are risking is the postage.

From verified buyers

Heavier than I expected in a good way. You can tell the copper is solid, not a thin plate over something else. The magnets sit flush in the links instead of rattling around.

Daniel K., Texas · Verified buyer

Bought this for my dad's birthday. It arrived in the velvet case with a care card, so I didn't have to wrap anything. He has been wearing it since the day it showed up.

Ella S., California · Verified buyer

Looks great, but know that real copper will darken. Mine lost the bright shine after a few weeks. Lemon and salt brought it back in a minute. Not a defect, just copper doing what copper does.

Before you order

Is this actually solid copper?

Yes. 99.9% copper, C11000 grade, through the entire link. There is no plating and no brass core. If you file the underside of a link you will find the same metal. We will send certification on request to support@houseofpurewellness.com.

Will it help with joint or wrist pain?

We do not claim that, and we would be careful with anyone who does. Controlled trials of magnetic bracelets for joint pain have not shown a benefit beyond placebo. Buy this because you want a well made copper bracelet. If you are dealing with pain, talk to a doctor.

Can I wear it with a pacemaker or an insulin pump?

No. Do not wear any magnetic jewellery if you have a pacemaker, a defibrillator, an insulin pump, or another implanted electronic device. If you are unsure, ask your cardiologist or the device manufacturer before ordering.

It is leaving a green mark on my skin.

Common, harmless, and it washes off with soap. Copper reacts with sweat, so it shows up more in heat, at the gym, and on a new band. Taking it off before showering and workouts reduces it a lot.

Three magnets or six?

Both bands are the same 22mm width, the same copper, and the same length. Double Density has twice the magnets per link and sits noticeably heavier on the wrist. Pick it if you like a substantial watch. Pick Triple Row if you are not sure.

Where does it ship from and how long does it take?

Orders leave our Sanford, Florida warehouse. US delivery is typically 3 to 6 business days, international 7 to 14. Shipping is free everywhere and you get a tracking link when it leaves us.
